In this vibrant animated short, fishermen, students, and sea creatures join forces to protect the Ancón National Reserve. Created during an animation workshop, the film is rooted in the students’ firsthand experience exploring parts of the reserve—many for the first time. Their narrative blends wonder with critical reflection, emphasizing the importance of visitor responsibility and environmental relational living.

 

The choice to portray animals as central characters reveals the students’ curiosity about local wildlife and their commitment to conservation. A military fish symbolizes the protection of the area, while the magical connection between a Pintadilla fish and an artisanal fisherman showcases the power of working together to ensure sustainable seas.
