"La Yunza" was a celebration of local photographer, Henry Espinoza Panta, and his collection of photos about the oil industry in his community of Lobitos, Peru. The community exhibition was part of Henry's family's "Yunza" which in Peruvian tradition is a ritual that takes place during carnaval. As part of the tradition, a tree is planted in the ground loaded with gifts in its branches. When all of the guests have arrived, everyone begins dancing around the tree. After a while, people begin to chop at the tree with an axe and when the tree falls, people grab the gifts. This year's Yunza also incorporated Henry's photo exhibition and videos created by the local social projects working in the area.
