Equipped with GoPros, local kids took to the Indian Ocean for several mornings of underwater picture-taking as part of a Coast 2 Coast photography workshop and surf classes in one small fishing community nestled on one of the Mentawai Islands. Participants were asked to observe the ocean from a different angle or perspective. The beach is the public playground for community youth and participants captured the lively energy of both sea and its visitors.  The takeaway message from our underwater workshops is always that ocean is a source of life and joy and therefore should be treated with care, respect, and be protected.
