As declining fish stocks, rising sea levels, waste mismanagement, habitat destruction, poor governance, and other anthropogenic stressors undermine the well-being of small-scale fishing communities, young people in rural coastal and riparian villages experience a growing sense of disconnection with their social-ecological surroundings.

Durante los últimos cuatro años nos hemos sumergido en diferentes comunidades costeras al borde del colapso, desde México hasta la India. Allí hemos observado el cambio climático, la degradación marina y el desarrollo excesivo. Por los ojos de las juventudes locales, hemos visto lo maravilloso, lo trágico y lo prometedor. Creemos en el poder de contar historias como un puente para llegar a las personas emocionalmente. Proveemos a aquellos que más necesitan del océano para sobrevivir una herramienta que los ayude a compartir su versión de los hechos antes de que sea demasiado tarde.
